Company’s Story
Moving back to Finland to a new home in 2002 opened eyes to the poor quality of construction. The apartments in the new development were repaired several years after completion. More than 20 years as the chairman of the board of the housing community and in proactive maintenance showed concretely the need for documentation and 360 visibility of the construction phases. Two decades later construction industry does not produce comprehensive documentation and 360 visibility of the stages of construction. Based on the experience the lack of information is risk for the investment and does not support buildings’ operative business.
The aforementioned experiences and the opportunity to work with forward-looking leaders and innovators in the construction industry led to the birth of KeloTwin Oy.
Building life cycle
The quality of construction and the efficiency of maintenance have a significant impact on the business, risks and sustainable development of the operational life cycle of the building and industrial property. The qualitative uncertainty of investments and risk management can in the short and/or long term affect the achievement of strategic goals or even the existence of the organization.
The Totius platform developed by KeloTwin Oy produces fact-based documentation for real estate owners, developers, building societies, construction companies and authorities in 360⁰ images with a timeline of the quality of construction and the phases of demolition for their own workplace. Remotely enhanced planning and monitoring improve risk management of investments and increase the responsibility and quality of construction.
The reduced need to travel within the construction site and to the construction site produces clear savings, increases work safety and supports sustainable development. The speed of flow of fact-based information between stakeholders increases significantly in the different phases of the project. During construction and demolition, architects, designers and consultants are able to monitor the quality of the construction from their own workplace with the support of a supervisor throughout the entire project’s life cycle.
